The RAXIMO 2 Finger Racing brake lever from MTP-Racing
...precision wins!
If you want to win races today, you have to be able to brake as late as possible, sensitively dosed,
or powerful but repeatable braking with the same precision every time.
We have developed a completely new lever for this purpose.
With the prototype, our MTP racing team rider immediately achieved a track record and first place in the Czech road race in Dymokury 2023.
The lever brings great calm, safety and confidence to the braking feel.
The feel quickly goes into muscle memory.
With this gain in confidence, the rider stays in his intuition and thus improves his lap times.
The third place in Macao 2024 among the fastest riders in the world aroused interest in our product in the top league of the racing scene.
Most racing drivers use just one or two fingers to decelerate in order to ride a clean line, determine the sensitive amount of throttle and be able to brake immediately and precisely without having to change their grip.
Normal, conventional standard brake levers do not provide any haptic feedback for the positioning of the sensitive fingertips.
If the lever is unintentionally gripped a few millimetres further inwards or outwards, this significantly changes the force applied to the brake system by the law of the lever.
These input errors must be avoided.
With conventional levers, every braking manoeuvre must be sensed, felt and corrected in order to
not overbrake the motorbike in the stress of racing and "lose" the front wheel.
Thanks to the shape of the RAXIMO 2-finger lever, the rider has the situation under control in the truest sense of the word, even in wobbles, on slopes, after a jump offset or other adversities.
Whether in road racing, where the rider's positioning in relation to the bike is constantly challenged and changed by poor road conditions, or on the racetrack, valuable time is lost in repositioning.
The racer is thus unnecessarily preoccupied with maintaining the same, repeatable control of his bike's braking behaviour.
Don't forget: engine power is nowadays exhausted in relation to traction.
Races are decided by a perfect brake setup.
And last but not least: Happy drivers are the faster drivers.
This is where our patented and race-proven product literally comes into its own.
Here is a list of the features and benefits:
Automatic, precisely repeatable positioning of the fingers on the lever achieved through ergonomic design. The leverage is therefore always exactly the same in every riding situation.
Time saving
No need to constantly find a new pressure point. The fingers "fall" into the 100% reproducible position by themselves. This frees up your mind to concentrate carefree on the race.
Even if, due to the racing situation, the brakes are applied again hastily in a battle, the rider cannot make a mistake.
Confidence in the bike
grows through repeated deceleration and creates a cleaner, smoother line. This results in significantly better lap times.
Reduction of moving mass.
This means that the lever is made as light as possible on the outside from high-strength aluminium in order to implement the input and release time of the fingers as quickly as possible.
Incorrect inputs due to the inertia swinging up under heavy shaking or vibrations are avoided.
Hang-off optimisation.
In the hang-off position, the wrist is twisted strongly outwards. In this position, it is impossible to determine where the fingers are in relation to the lever with a conventional straight lever. It is also very difficult to operate the brake in this twisted position.
The 2 finger precision racing brake lever offers a completely new design that can be felt and felt in the hang-off position.
tangible and tactile.
Professionals know that tyres can be "taught" before cornering. To do this, the combination of accelerator and brake input must be right. This gives the tyre more grip in the next bend.
This is also easier with our lever, because you don't have to worry about slipping when riding roughly or unintentionally gripping the lever too hard and in the wrong place.
In the modern world of brake and engine control interventions via sensor technology (mappings), full throttle is applied earlier so that the traction control responds. The input of the brake and throttle hand becomes a catapult-like trigger out of the bend.
With our lever, all of this is simply easier, more precise and therefore more relaxed and "natural" for the rider.
More lever travel.
Thanks to the cut-out for the ring and little finger, the RAXIMO 2-finger lever offers up to 18 mm more lever travel compared to conventional levers.
This means that there is no need to adjust the lever travel in the race using a remote control. There is simply more lever travel available. A reassuring feeling of having significantly more reserve.
In an emergency, you can push further with our lever without squeezing your fingers remaining on the throttle grip.
fingers remaining on the throttle grip. This can be a lifesaver in the event of fading or a sudden defect in the brake system.
The RAXIMO 2-finger lever from MTP -RACING is the professional rider's surgical tool and the first choice for every racing team.
